Chapter 1. Love Meets Again And Again: At The restaurant

Reeya

I opened my closet.

Picked a dress for the night.

A rose pink cotton dress;

Soft to the touch.

Warm on my skin—

Sam and Sharli,

my babies,

my best friends,

Wanted to celebrate getting my new job.

My dream job.

The one I worked all my life for.

So I showered.

I got ready.

I did my make up.

I did my hair.

I left my honey blonde curls out;

Shaped and bouncy.

I wore a dress.

The chest part was folded over

my boobs and shoulder area.

I wore my jewelry.

I picked my shoes;

They snake around my legs.

Then,

They both walked in my room.

All dressed.

Both gorgeous.

Sam wore a red dress.

Gold heels on her feet,

Gold and red clutch in hand.

I noticed,

A gold and ruby color Diamond bracelet

on her wrist.

The one I bought her earlier this week.

She wore it with a matched

necklace and earrings set.

Her hair was styled into a bun.

Lose curls perfectly sitting around it.

A woman–

Soon to be married.

Her beauty and kindness had a grip on hearts.

Sharli’s outfit was breathtaking.

She wore a green and white fleury dress.

It was long down to her ankles.

The dress had small,

beautiful and delicate flowers,

flowers going down her side.

And so did the neckline of her dress.

They were like a necklace.

Her shoes were fleury green and white.

“I like your shoes,

that's a perfect combination to your dress.”

I complimented her.

“Thank you.”

 She said.

“I bought them some time ago

to match this dress,

but I never got the chance to wear them.”

Her shoe closet was a dream;

She was good at picking them.

She had a black clutch in hand,

and wore rose gold earrings

and a necklace set.

Her long curly hair was left down.

Her makeup was perfectly done.

Such a beauty.

Her chocolate skin was glowing.

They complimented my waist.

They mentioned that God had favorites.

But it all made me want to hide.

The gifts from the above are many.

But I foster my heart.

Sharli picked the restaurant for tonight.

It looked promising.

She said they had good cocktails,

She said the wine,

The champagne quality was spectacular.

But—

they were packed on weekends.

So I prepared myself mentally.

We left my home.

Heading out to the restaurant.

We arrived.

Walked in.

The smell of food and wine was in the air.

And just as Sharli said,

it was packed.

We made reservations in advance.

But we still had to wait.

What were they putting in their food?

We had to stand in a small line.

But it moved up quickly.

The waiter took us to our table.

The view–

Oh the view was worth the wait.

We were seated by the window

with the beautiful lake just outside.

We placed our orders.

As we waited,

We enjoyed the warm atmosphere.

Different people dined here.

Families,

some with their little ones.

The boys dressed in their cute suits.

The girls were adorable in their dresses.

It was a place where you could definitely

enjoy time with your family.

The decor was outstanding.

A mixture of modern and vintage.

Beautifully combined.

Our drinks were brought to our table.

I ordered a Fragolinas.

A strawberry and pineapple drink;

Strawberry crushed to a paste.

Sitting on the bottom of the glass.

The rest of the drink was yellow.

The rim of the glass,

Decorated with pink sugar,

a strawberry and a piece of pineapple.

Joy in a glass.

Sam ordered a non-alcoholic Rossini.

Sharli an Aperol & limoncello.

As I enjoyed the drink,

Twirling the straw around the glass.

I lifted my eyes.

They slowly landed on a familiar face.

The same one I saw earlier this week.

The one that paid for our drinks.

He sat a few tables down.

Dining with two other guys.

I didn’t need to squint my eyes.

Or do a double take.

It was undeniably him.

I would recognize those

striking eyes anywhere.

He lifted his eyes and they fell upon me.

I didn’t gaze away out of shock.

I wasn’t expecting him to look my way.

So we both stared.

It seems like we were both,

both going through the same emotions.

He looked at me as if

he would’ve never seen me again.
